Perfect for what it is made for. I bought this for my mum who is waiting to go in for a hip replacement. She finds it impossible to put her own sock on on one side, and NOT being an elderly person she really hated having to ask for help. I read reviews that said that this could be tricky to use and warned her of this. A really useful device with one slight flaw This is a simple and effective aid that has made it so much easier to get my socks on. I have deducted one star because the rubber circle on the underside, which is supposed to prevent the sock slipping off whilst the device is in use, came off the first time I used the device and cannot be re-attached.
Disappointing This is just a flat piece of plastic with rope attached at one end. You then have to roll it up and slide the sock over the rolled up plastic. I thought at least it would have been contoured for a foot. Very basic. Cheap.
